Is My Hair Long Enough for My Bridal Hairstyle?

My Pixie Crop
I have yet to meet a bride who isn't growing her hair for the big day, although for my own wedding I did the complete opposite and had my hair cropped!!  My Mum wasn't very pleased to say the least!  I had that 'in between' length that, in my opinion, was not long enough to give an up do with oomph and I had tried the hair extensions (glued in) but I just didn't like the maintenance of them.  I thought they only looked good when they were washed and dried every day.....VERY time consuming!

Of course this was over 9 years ago and the process of adding hair is far more sophisticated these days!  I see that cold fusion and micro loop are the way forward for length and body with minimal damage to your own hair. These will last until they grow out so a maintenance programme is needed to keep them looking good.  The 'clip in' are a favourite with most of my clients as they are so widely available,Dirty Looks  are good quality. They come in every shade under the sun so it is easy to find some to exactly match your own hair colour.  You can take them out easily after your event and (if put in properly) will stay put throughout the day and night. For up dos I often use hair-pads as these are fantastic for giving a shape without too much back-combing and help create the illusion of long, thick hair.

Whether you need any of the above or not, you should start a nourishing care programme for your hair asap as this will help make any style look fantastic - think Kate Middleton bouncey waves! I love Kerastase products and recommend them to all my clients, in particular the Elixer Ultime.  It's a definite for my kit bag.

See!! You just can't tell! So it is possible to achieve the look you want (with a little help!) .....Who knows what I would've ended up with had all this been around when I got married :-)

Although I must say that I did love my pixie crop :-)

Elemental Weddings

Just a wee mention about these photographers Elemental Weddings,. I met Christina and Jay last Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing their pictures as their gallery of work is really great!

I love that through my work I meet so many creative people, from florists to bakers to make up artists to photographers....It is such an AMAZING feeling to look through a beautiful album of pictures capturing all these important details knowing that I was a part of it!
Every new bride-to-be I meet is brimming with ideas and excitement, it's infectious!  That's what spurs me on to create something original for every client.....
