Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a trial?

Usually yes.  It allows us to discuss and try out hair ideas, without any time pressure.  It allows Louise to photograph the hairstyles, check hair type, wedding accessories, wedding dress, tiara and work out timings, so there are no "surprises" on your wedding morning.  Simply, it makes sure things will run smoothly for the whole bridal party on the day.

How long will my wedding hair take?

This depends on the final hairstyle you want, and the preparation required to achieve that look (curling, straightening, etc).  There is no time limit on the wedding trial to ensure you are completely happy with the final result.  On average, a wedding trial will take 3 hours for the bride and 1-2 hours for additional heads.  On the day, the time is considerably reduced because we will have a plan of action from your wedding trial.

When do I pay?

Trials should be paid for during the trial.  Only when you are completely happy, a 50% deposit of the total bridal party cost is then required to secure the booking.  Visit the prices page for this year's rates.

I only want my hair done, none of my bridesmaids want their hair up.  Why does this cost extra?

Because Louise will keep your wedding date exclusively for you, a minimum spend of £100 is needed to remain commercially viable if travelling outwith a 25 mile radius of Elgin.

My Mum has short hair and is wearing a hat.  Does this affect her hair cost?

Bridal party members who have short hair, that just require a style and blowdry can be accomodated.

My wedding venue is far away.  Will I incur a travelling surcharge?

Clients within a 25 mile radius of Elgin will not incur a surcharge. Outwith that, will incur a very reasonable charge.  Prices available on request.

Can you do my wedding makeup as well?

Louise only specialises in hairstyling, cutting and colouring.
